My name is Kelly, I live in Pinehurst NC. I am married and have four wonderful dogs.
Gunner was my first dog, he is a 9 year old Chocolate Lab. He is a certified therapy dog. Gunner and I volunteer with our local school system. Gunner is part of a program called C.A.R.E (Canine Assisted Reading Education). We go into schools and children will read to him. It is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. (Gunner recently gave up his therapy dog certification due to health issues)

Jorja was my second dog. She too is 9 years old. She is a black lab mix. I found Jorja on Petfinder. At the time we lived in MA. I contacted the animal organization that had her listed for adoption. I learned that Jorja was not in the state, she was still in a bad shelter in the state of Georgia but, the animal organization I was speaking with pulls adoptable dogs out of these "kill" shelters and finds homes for them. Jorja was one of these dogs. I put in my application and was there with my husband and Gunner waiting for her the day the transport arrived. Jorja came off the transport, her fur was dull, she was really skinny, her teeth were in bad shape. One of the ladies from the organization brought her over to us and she climbed right into my husbands lap, we put her in the car and that night her and Gunner slept in the same bed.Jorja became a certified therapy dog in March of 09 but since then she underwent surgery for a rare form of thyroid cancer so she has given up her certification to live out her life romping around in her yard and getting spoiled wiht treats.

After dealing with the rescue organization I was so amazed by what these people did, I became involved in whatever way I could. For a while I was visiting a local shelter walking dogs and feeding dogs, pretty much whatever they needed. For the group I adopted Jorja through I did foster care.
In 2005 I left MA and moved to NC. I told my husband that I wanted to do more with the animals, he gave me a year to get something going. I found a local animal advocate group and jumped on board with them. I helped with fundraisers, I did some more foster care, then Blue came into our lives. Blue is my 2 1/2 year old Syberian Husky. Blue was rescued on the 4th of July, he was only 4 weeks old. Blue was picked up along with three other pups and a 2 year old mother who was seriously ill. The mother could not be saved, she died 6 hours later. The pups thrived, their story made the front page of the local paper. All four pups were adopted. Blue's adoptive family was going away on vacation for three weeks so I offered to foster him while they were away. Three weeks later when the adoptive family returned Blue was now 7 weeks old, closer to the age he would have typically left his mother. Blue was more than double his size. The family was surprised at how big he was and began to question if they were making the right decision. Well, Blue became part of our family.

Blue has been a joy and is a gorgeous dog.

On Dec 7, 2009 I went to a fundraiser/adoption event for black and white dogs. There I found Josie!
Josie and her brothers were left at the local animal control office just one week prior to the event. Being black and white all the pups were brought to the event. I had decided that I needed to adopt another pup. I needed a female and I needed a pup. Josie was the only female pup at the event. Josie has some beautiful markings but, the most beautiful is a black spot on her side in the perfect shape of a heart. By the end of the evening I was bringing Josie home. Josie is now 6 months old, she has been treat for worms, mange, and ear infections. She was spayed and is now doing beautifully. Josie will actually be the smallest dog I have ever owned even when full grown.

I have my own local pet sitting service which I have been doing for going on my 5th year now. I have several clients who have been using me since I began.
I then started my dog collar business. I found that trying to buy three fun but quality collars was expensive. I set out to make my own. I bought only the best high quality, strong, and durable supplies. I invested in an industrial sewing machine and in no time my dogs were sporting some new collars.
Being such a dog nut, I began thinking not only about the dog but, the dog lover. My most recent creation has been my breed specific keyfob. They are a great way to keep track of your keys while showing off your love for a special breed.
I do lots of craft shows each year. My husband spends the day with me and is my best sales person. In fact, he has been my biggest cheerleader. I am thankful each day for his support.
I hope you will check out my collars. I wil continue to add new items as I create them. If you have any questions or any special request, please don't hesitate to ask.
